Went here for the Hillsborough County Hiking Spree. Had a nice hike. Well mapped out. Would visit again!
I always liked this place as a kid. But had a baby shower there and the park rangers were harassing the ENTIRE party about the balloons! Talk to who thru the party, not our grandfather who was dying of cancer and barely made it to the event. Telling everyone they'll get a ticket if they don't pick up balloons (we already had 5ppl getting ALL of them). Ugh smh from the 19yr old "rangers"
Great for picnics and family events.Boat ramp is nice but fishing here is not the greatest,they need more FWC enforcement on the water with boats going to fast causing wakes and enforcement on daily catch limits,it seems that the lake is being fished out fast with largemouth bass
Me and my family have been camping here for years. It's a great place. Lots of fishing opportunity and lots of opportunities to see alligators. There is a farm beside the park that offers horse back riding, there is bicycle trails and walking trails. I would give it five stars if there was swimming, but there isn't. It's generally quiet and a very nice place to get away from the world. Electric at every campsite and water and very clean public showers and restrooms.
Great for kids of all ages. Wonderful playground for younger children and sand dunes for teens to explore. Fishing is available and camping also.
